So I mentioned before that Adam and I got called to do the 10 year old cub scouts also known as the Webelos. I admit I was a little skeptical about it at first, because I have never really had anything to do with the scouting program and was not really interested in starting for another five years when Ethan turns eight. However we have now been doing it for probably about a month or so, and I love it. Each week we get a happy little reminder about what life will be like having 10 year old boys...umm...yikes! Our boys are great though, we love them, and I really consider them my boys because I have found I really care very strongly about how their lives are and what I can do to help them reach the goals that they have set for themselves. It brings me so much joy when I see how hard they work every single week to earn their badges and gain more knowledge. It is really good for my kids as well i think, we take them with us on Tuesday nights, and Ethan just loves it! He will have all his badges earned before the age of eight :). It also greatly helps having a night job where you are the only one there with a computer and very bored, so I have lots of time to plan our activities out in detail which is great! Adam says that they found a perfect way to magnify his calling.....to put him in it with his wife who has nothing better to do at night than scout stuff....ha ha ha! Really though, I am really humbled by the opportunity to be an influence in the lives of these boys they are wonderful.
